Sonoran Desert Wash

Inspired by walks in the washes of the Sonoran desert, just south of Tucson, Arizona, these minimal abstracts evoke the calm and quiet of the area. As I walked I often followed the path of the dried river beds, while looking for birds and other other wildlife (I saw a bobcat once). The paths were usually open but sometimes they were blocked by cactus, trees or shrubs, or at least seemed to be, but then suddenly an opening would appear when I was worried I’d have to backtrack or risk getting stuck by cactus - I love that feeling, physically and metaphorically: a path will usually open up when you need it.
